BOX12, the world’s first club-in-club boxing and fitness experience has today announced the appointment of health and fitness industry veteran David Stalker as Chairman of the board.
A highly recognised and respected industry figure, David has held a number of senior executive roles in the sector, including CEO of ukactive, and founding chairman of CIMSPA (Chartered Institute Management Sport and Physical Activity).
David’s appointment comes as BOX12 experiences accelerated growth, with the brand now established in international markets, partnering with some of the biggest names in fitness, including The Gym Group, Fitness Time, David Lloyd, and Jetts.
David said, ‘‘Throughout my time working in many areas in this industry I have always aligned myself with companies that are doing great work in pushing the boundaries of our sector. Our job as custodians is to find new ways to engage the population in physical activity. I have been a long admirer of Jamie and Jon – Founders of BOX12 – seeing their work with Hatton Boxing and watching BOX12 take off. Good people with the right intentions doing impactful and inspiring work. It’s a perfect match”.
David will use his experience and strategic vision to guide and shape the path of BOX12. BOX12 Co-Founder Jamie Cartwright said ‘‘With large customers in multiple regions around the world, BOX12 came from humble beginnings and has always been punching above its weight. The team we are building lays the solid foundations required for our pipelined growth. The next few years are going to be exciting and challenging, and we couldn’t be more delighted to have David on this journey with us”.
